My dad's birthday was on May 10th, but we didn't get to celebrate until this weekend so I had made him this card which he loved! He likes to fish and so this was perfect for him!
For this card, I used the Going Places cartridges and cut the card at 5". Next I cut the 'fisherman' at 3" and then trimmed down the 'square' and rounded the corners. I taped a piece of blue paper behind the "water' cutout to add some color. Then I used the Create A Critter cartridge to cut the tiny fish at 1/2". I just stamped the sentiment with a MPS stamp and hand cut it out for the bottom of the card. I added some silver eyelets (that you can barely see) then tied a bow from green bakers twine.
On the inside, I cut the same fish with layers at 2 1/2" and added some green paper. I kept the 'water' cutout from the front and added it here to the inside, then finally I added some white gel pen accents.
