Happy Mothers' Day to my Mom!

I'm so thankful for my mom and the woman that she is!  I love her so much and don't know what I'd do without her! There isn't a day that goes by that I don't talk to her at least and if she lived closer, we'd probably see each other everyday too!  :)  But I made this card for her for Mothers' Day and cannot wait to give it to her!  She loved her hummingbird birthday card and I'm sure will love this one too!  (I haven't posted her birthday card, but will soon, I promise!)  :)

I'm not as half creative as my mom is (as you can see from her work on my daughter's room mural!)  She is so talented.  She works a lot and doesn't live close or else we'd probably be crafting together A LOT! :)  Well here's the card I created for her!

I used my Celebrate with Flourish cartridge for the sentiment as well as the white gel pen for accents.  I sewed one of my "gazillion" buttons on top of the paper flower & button from Creative Memories and then added two types of ribbon.

On the inside, I loved the fact that the paper was two sided and the little "sunshines" were on the inside!  I added a little paper flower with a black brad and added some black faux stitching to give the inside some detail. :)

I plan on making my mom a framed layout similar to the one I made for my m-i-l on her birthday.  My mom saw it and loved it so I figured I could make her one as well!  I'll post it as soon as it's complete!

Working on my m-i-l's Mothers' Day card as well and so I'll post it in a day or two!  Told ya I was busy lately!  ;)  Have a terrific Tuesday!

Happy Birthday to my nephew Caleb.......and a giveaway!

My nephew Caleb turned 9 yesterday but he's not having his birthday party until Saturday so I'm excited to give him this card!  He's having a Disney Cars themed birthday party but I don't own that Cricut cartridge so.........you gotta love the internet for clipart!!!  :)  I downloaded a Lightning McQueen image, print it, and cut it out to attach it right to the card!  Viola!

I cut his name from the Classic Font cartridge and the sign post from the Going Places cartridges.  I cut out by hand & added the yellow sign inserts as well as the arrow under his name. I used the white gel pen to add some accents to the front of the card.  (They are so fun to use for some flair!)  :)

On the inside, I cut a smaller sign post and a "C" to "spruce it up" as well as added some designs here too with the white gel pen.  I can't wait to give him this card as he is a BIG Cars movie fan!  Happy 9th Birthday Caleb!

The Giveaway!!!

And of course, we can't forget the giveaway I mentioned in the title!!  :)  One of my new followers Shelly (without the second "e" like me!) :) is having a giveaway on her blog, http://mypaperlove.blogspot.com. Check it out!  I so would love to have this cartridge she's giving away...but we'll see who the lucky winner will be on May 31st!  Can't wait!

Well, I have more creations to post, but have to wait a few days to post them (other birthdays this week but I don't want them to see them!)  :) So come back soon and check them out!  I've been very busy lately!  :)

Have a good week!

Thanks to "Diva"!

Well, I made this card for a dear friend of mine who we call "Diva"!  She's been a great friend to me over the years and recently has ventured out and started making tutu's.  She made one for my daughter Carley and it is just precious!!  It is called the Tinkerbelle Tutu! You can find her on Facebook at Diva's Place and order one for your special princess! Isn't it beautiful?

For the card, I used several cartridges.....I used my new Everyday Pop Up Cards for the beautiful butterfly!  For the tag and the letters for "Diva", I used the Creative Memories Storks Delivery cartridge!    Now it's not shown in this picture, sorry.... (because I added it later before giving it to her), but to the right of the butterfly I added the sentiment "Thanks" in the pink and black layers.  It was cut from the George & Basic Shapes cartridge. I loved the pink and black colors in the card.....and she did too!  :)  She also has a birthday coming up Monday so we'll see what I can come up with for that! :)
