Ahhhh, it's that time a year again.....and I am so glad! I LOVE the fall season!
And today, the Craft Junkie Too Crafty Designers are showing off their Autumn projects for everyone! Check out Tracy's blog, Craft Junkie Too to see what our team has to share! :)
For my Autumn project, I chose to create a banner.....since I'm h-o-o-k-e-d on making banners lately! haha! I do love making them...they are so fun to create! But I'm hosting a wedding shower for my cousin this weekend, and it is a fall/harvest theme....pumpkins, leaves, gourds, mums, apple cider and more! Mmmmm, I'm getting hungry just thinking about all the scrumptious foods we have planned to eat on Saturday! So for the banner, I went with the simple quote from Robert Louis Stevenson...."Live Well, Love Much, and Laugh Often".
For the leaf pennants, I used the Create A Critter cartridge p.70 and cut them at 6". I used a leaf print patterned paper from The Paper Studio and a fall green colored paper to cover the back of the chipboard leaves. For the sentiments, I printed these in brown on my computer, then trimmed the pieces and used my Martha Stewart Doily punch. After trimming and punching these, I inked them with brown ink just like I inked the edges of all of the leaves too.
I used some shiny fall leaf stickers from Jolee's Boutique on the two end pennants which matched the paper so well. I added some brown glitter glue around the edges of each pennant which you can sorta see in the photo above. Around the stems of the leaves, I tied little bows made from a rust colored and brown raffia.
I punched holes in the tops of the leaves and ran thru some jute twine and brown tulle together to hang it with.
(Sorry these are not the best pics, but banners are so hard to photograph!)
Well, I think this banner will definitely add to the decor of the fall/harvest themed wedding shower for Saturday. I'm also making a "Wishing Tree" for the guests to write their wish or advice to the bride & groom onto a paper leaf, then hang it by thread onto the branches of the 'tree'. I'll be sure to get pics of everything once the day comes!
Well, I gots lots to do before Saturday for this shower, so check in with me later! I've got some card orders and more baby banners to make.....one for twins and another for a baby girl! Whew I have so many friends that are having babies lately, huh? :)
Well, Happy Crafting!
Don't forget to check out the rest of the design team's projects at Craft Junkie Too!
Have a blessed day!
