Hi everyone and welcome to the CJToo's Birthday Bash Blog Hop hosted by my Design Team leader, Tracy from Craft Junkie Too! Today is HER birthday and we're all helping celebrate it! Happy Birthday Tracy!!!!!
Now, if you arrived here from Cheryl's site Cards by CG, then you are on the right track! --- but if not, simply click on the link below the button to start at the beginning!
For my project today Tracy, I decided to make a card that is "just 4 you"! :)
I used the Create A Critter cartridge to create the sentiment and cut it at 2". Under the sentiment, I used some scrap paper that I had where I had cut the wrong size banner on the Country Life cartridge. I thought it would give a good solid background for the sentiment. (Can't wait to post the banner I made this weekend too! Come back and visit!)
I then used the Simply Sweet cartridge for the layers of the flower which I used the shadow of the image. With 5 layers, I started the cuts at 2 3/4" on the bottom one and went smaller by 1/4" for each flower until the one on top was 1 3/4". I curled each of the petals on the flowers by just using a pen and my fingers. In between the flowers, I added some sheer fabric flower cut-outs that I had to add a different texture.
Instead of throwing it away, I used the center cut-out of the largest flower on the bottom as the center for the top, then topped that off with an orange rhinestone! I inked all the cuts as well with brown ink. Then I added a hot pink ribbon and some pink ric-rac on top, then added some accents with a white gel pen!
Then on the inside, I added some more pink ric-rac and some dots that I cut out with my hole punch.
I really hope you've enjoyed your card Tracy and I hope you all enjoy it as well!
The next stop on this Blog Hop is Kristy from Craftin On My Door -- so hop over to see the wonderful project she has to share!
